Sanctuary Guiding operates predominantly out of Twizel, a beautiful small town in the heart of the Mackenzie District. Although specialising in Fly Fishing, Sanctuary Guiding also offers superb spin/softbait fishing too!
A wide variety of waterways can be found in Mackenzie and Central South. These include everything from large Braided and Freestone Rivers, small streams/spring creeks and some of the most amazing lake fishing the country has to offer. Pretty much all these locations boast crystal clear water and unprecedented views. There aren’t too many waterways in the Mackenzie District that don’t hold a Trout or two… and they are usually home to both Brown and Rainbow Trout that can offer some truly spectacular sight fishing!
